Annually from 1996 at the beginning of June the balloon competition carry out in Velikie Luki. It opens the season of the competition event was successfully held in the town, having become a great event not only for balloonists and the people of Velikie Luki but also for everybody loving sky and flights of balloonists. The sky of the town has not only the good conditions for sport and show flights. Our people’s exceptional kindness, attention of the mass media to the event, our wide cultural opportunities undoubtedly add attractiveness to the competition between balloonists on the land of Velikie Luki.

The administration of the town and its people will be glad to see you as participants and guests at the 14-th International Balloon Meet in Velikie Luki and do their best that in future you and your friends may fly in the sky over the ancient Russian town on the nice river Lovat.
